Jack is to blame for this, I just read perfection and was inspired...so yeah all your fault, Jack, not that I mind though...

Skin Deep

the dips in your skin
are smooth freckled little-valleys.
perfection
in
imperfect wanderings.

the elfin up-tip of your nose
is no connotation of silver spoons
but of knowledge and uprighting existence.

when I hold you
perfection is in little things
it's all one can ask for
in this myopic sphere.

I felt immediately like I knew what you were talking about.

"in this myopic sphere."

That's a great way of capturing both the visual and emotional impact of being so close to someone.

Good work.

Sorry  Now I have two poems as replies to two of mine. How great ...

Anyway, I liked the graphical representation of the "valleys" in the first stanza, that was cool. Correction in second stanza, should be "spoons" I reckon. I liked it!

You walk into this room at your own risk, because it leads to the future, not a future that will be but one that might be. This is not a new world, it is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advances, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super states that preceded it, it has one iron rule: logic is an enemy and truth is a menace.
